- People are using up natural resources at record rates and many are becoming overused or polluted. Many are non-renewable—once they are used up, they are gone. People need to become more responsible in the use of these resources.
- Caring about the environment isn’t just a rich-country luxury. All countries use natural resources to improve living conditions as well as their economies. Poor people depend on the land around them to live on and they can’t survive without it.
