"We are from Nigeria and our agriculture just dried up, so pour me some funding to fill up my cup; it is avian flu not the mad cow, so maybe we can cook these chickens and eat 'em too, the heat kills the virus so we might come through, solve this problem as quickly as possible, cause my brothers are dying and this is stoppable." |

"We, the People of Laos, will continue to work towards the eradication of the avian flu. Since 2004, Laos has not experienced any human cases of avian flu; however we must rememeber: Don't eat uncooked bird stew, or you'll get fatal bird flu. There is no cure; you'll die for sure."

"The avian flu in Cambodia not only threatens 75% of the population relying on subsistence farming, but also poses an immediate danger to those susceptible to this possible pandemic. Seeing as though veterinary and health services are generally weak, the avian flu has already resulted in 6 fatal cases since 2005 in Cambodia."

"Turkey is the bridge between the Middle East and Europe, making it a critical breaking point in the spread of the avian flu. Because much of the economy is agricultural, checkpoints should be establish for farmers to report cases and receive the vaccine if available. Info should be readily available to the public."

"Avian flu presents a great threat to Indonesia's stability, as the state is already under economic stress. The agricultural industry has been severely affected, as rural farmers are at especially high risk; 20% farm workers have already lost their jobs, and 22 out of 33 provinces have been severely affected. The Ministries of Health and Agriculture are currently working on the 9 Point Plan to combat this."

General comments about avian flu:

"Everybody must somehow protect themselves from Avian Flu. But I believe that the Media had terrified us. Here in Greece everybody is getting ready for the virus. It's a social propaganda. Vaccines for a simple flu have been sold within 5 months. People believe that a simple vaccine will save them. Don't you believe that someone is behind all this? All these medical companies can earn a lot from this and that's why they are trying to make us believe that we are in great danger."
