On Sunday, the participants first reflected on the progress made since the first conference in 2003, focusing on how far the Bank has come in a year.

Shigeo Katsu, World Bank Vice President for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, said “young people are a tremendous source of untapped potential in world development, but that we haven’t even come close to unlocking this potential.”
