The conference made a big splash in local papers. Journalists interviewed participants to learn more about their work back home in addition to reporting on the conference.

Sixteen year-old Victor was a hit. “It was really interesting to see journalists running after me and the next day I was in the local newspapers and some participants from South Africa wanted to know if they could invite me [there] to present this project to the youths of South Africa.”
